What is included in my session fee? Your session fee covers a preliminary consultation via email or over the phone, my time and talent during your session, as well as the image preparation phase and the image presentation phase. By chosing a custom photographer, the session fee provides you with someone who is willing to invest her time to capture wonderful images for you. How long does a session last? Photo sessions will last between one-two hours and should be scheduled during the time of day when your child is at his/her best. I want your child(ren) to feel comfortable and let their guard down so I can capture their true spirit. We won't rush through anything and can take as many breaks as necessary. How do I go about booking a session? Please send an email to gina@ginaobrien.com. A non- refundable $75 deposit is due to reserve the date and time that we schedule. Please ensure that the deposit is received within 7 days of booking the session. Payments can be made in the form of cash, checks or MasterCard/Visa via Paypal. Checks should be made payable to Gina O'Brien. What should we wear? Keep it simple. Solid colors work best and help give the photos a classic look that will stand the test of time. If possible, avoid logos, plaids and patterns which can be too distracting. Texture looks great in black & white (denims, sweaters, corduroy). Bare feet for childern is always preferred. Do you shoot digitally or with film? I am 100% digital allowing me the flexibility to capture as many images as needed. This also allows for any image to be viewed and ordered in black & white, color or sepia tones. When should I have my newborn photographed? If you'd like your newborn to have the "curled up" look, please schedule your session within the first two weeks after birth. This special window of opportunity is very short, so please call me as soon as you can to make arrangements. How will I view my proofs? Your proofs will be available for viewing & ordering on my website within 10 days of your session date. An online image gallery will be created and secured with a password. This gallery will only be available for two weeks so please place your order within this time frame. How do I place an order? Online ordering is available when purchasing a classic session. Simply select the desired size, quantity, and color, b&w, or sepia tone. You will need to provide your name & shipping address, and submit payment at this time (either by mailing a check or submitting payment via paypal). Your order will be placed once payment in full has been received. What forms of payment do you accept? Cash, Check and Visa/Mastercard via Paypal. Please make checks payable to Gina O'Brien. When will my order be ready? Please allow 3-6 weeks for completion of your order. Prints are generally available early, but specialty items such as coffee table books, fine art books, collage prints, greeting cards, & heirloom canvas prints can take a bit longer. Orders can be picked up at my home or shipped to you via Priority Mail. A $10 shipping fee will apply. What is a Model Release? At the photo session I will ask you to sign a Model Release for each person being photographed (parents will need to sign on behalf of minors). This release allows me to use the images captured for promotional purposes on behalf of Gina O'Brien Photography (ex. on my website, in brochures, or other promotional materials). What kind of a referral program do you have? You will be provided with 8 referral cards when you receive your order. Give these to your friends and family. For every card I receive back (that leads to the scheduling of a photo session) you will receive a FREE 8x10. After referring 4 friends, you qualify for a FREE CLASSIC PHOTO SESSION. What if I need to cancel a session? Our lives are busy and things come up. Please provide me with 48 hours notice if possible. If you reschedule at that time, your $75 deposit will be transferred to your new session. If however, you do not reschedule you will forfeit your deposit. What if my child gets sick on the day of the session? I would kindly recommend that you call and reschedule the session. When the child isn't feeling well, it will be reflected in the photos and the results will be disappointing. I would prefer to reschedule and capture images that you can be proud of.
